Tired of Jersey Shore, Dancing with the Stars, and Desperate Housewives?
Then take a walk down Memory Lane – and remember all the shows that we loved, and wished our children still watched. I’ve had so much fun revisiting these old theme songs – I think a ’60s/70s TV theme show mix CD needs to be in the works. As I was surfing youtube, I just kept on finding more and more – so many great shows (so many great, pure, innocent shows!).

When I was between 8-11, I loved watching “I Dream of Jeannie.” That and “The Brady Bunch” were my favorites. I have subjected my children to DVDs of the Brady Bunch and they find it totally “cheesy!” I still love Jan Brady!

I watched way too much TV, ate too many Pop Tarts, Spahgetti 0s, and Swansons dinners while doing so…my theory is this processed food has memory preservation qualities as I can rattle off the following with song lyrics where applicable:
Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Mr. Ed,Creature Feature, Dark Shadows, McMillan & Wife, The Farmers Daughter, Bewitched, Hawaii Five O, Mod Squad, Family Affair, Little Rascals, The Flying Nun, Rhoda,Love American Style, Love Boat, The Waltons…Got my fill of junk TV too, now I only watch PBS and Food Network!
