I was more conscious about being flexible and spontaneous when my children lived at home. I made a point to take time to tune in. Thankfully, I never look back and say “if only.” I took time to enjoy all of it. With our childen grown, I started taking the time my husband and I have together for granted. We are learning to take that same time for ourselves, to go out to dinner or to the ocean.

My sister and I both read today’s post and agree with Anne that we let life pass us by without being mindful of what is actually happening. We both resolved to do better and we are going to report our successes to each other. Thanks for the timely reminder that we need to live life well.

Very worthwhile reminder. I’m definitely guilty of doing what I should, rather than what’s spontaneous, most of the time. It’s all about getting the right balance isn’t it. I’m off to make an overdue phone call now!
