My sister and brother in law recently introduced me to Pandora.com. Pandora is internet radio at it’s best. You put in a favorite song or artist, and Pandora creates a radio station for you that plays similar type music. I have a Jack Johnson radio station that I LOVE. I keep it playing while I’m doing my work, and I’m constantly looking to see what the new song is that is playing. If you like the song you have an option to bookmark it, or go to i-Tunes and buy it. It’s a fun way to discover new music, and Pandora really does an excellent job of staying true to the genre you’re seeking.
So this weekend while you’re checking email, updating Facebook, or randoming surfing the net, tune into Pandora. Return to the 1970’s, visit Venice and Vivaldi, or anything else that fits your mood. Have fun!

I’m not able to listen to music and work at the same time (ditto for chewing gum and walking). However, I just passed along the site to a colleague who loves listening to funky music at work. She’ll be psyched!

My daughter told me about Pandora, and I usually have it playing when I am working on my computer at home. The only negative is that over time, you hear the same music over and over unless you keep adding new artists to a particular station.

Thanks for introducing Pandora. I’d never heard o it before and it seems really cool. Was looking forward to some time to check it out today, only to discover that “due to licensing constraints” they can “no longer allow access to listeners located outside the US.” Oh well. Maybe another time.
