Skiing is a great family vacation. There's nothing like even a few inches of snow to make boys forget their Playstations, Wiis, etc. And it is a great equalizer. We were home in upstate New York over Christmas and managed a day of skiing at the mountain (more like hill) where I learned to ski. I had told the boys fearsome stories of a run called Elysian Fields, filled with moguls. It still is pretty mogully, but not as fearsome as I remembered and it's all my nine year old wanted to ski! It's great family time without all the distractions of everday life at home. It's not happening as often for us as they get older with jobs and college, but I cherish the memories. Happy Birthday!!!
