I have my own office at home, so I'm pretty centralized (and lucky, I know). On occasion, a spouse or child will pop in and use my space. That's fine, EXCEPT for when they leave a trail of empty bottles, crumbs, or discarded paper/envelopes in their wake. I hate to admit it, but I turn into The Incredible Hulk and stomp around the house when that happens ... my skin even turns a little green!

This one really strikes a chord! In addition to MOD, I suffer from SOS - shared office syndrome. My husband and I are office-incompatible, so while my stacks of paper are "just a moment" away from being organized, HIS stacks of paper usually send me to the brink of despair. The stacks are now migrating to our dining room so the rest of the house is now in peril. I'm thinking that the best solution may be a bonfire for all the papers...

Office Nomad! You are of my tribe! In my post, I talked about a couple of places I light to work, but there are about three more that didn't make the cut.

Those piles just seem to multiply, don't they? I got in the bad habit of putting those piles into bags and now my husband calls me "the bag lady". We're under construction right now and I'm awaiting my 'message center' which I am convinced is going to force me to get and stay organized. In it will be a charging station for all ipods, cell phones, etc...; mail bins for each member of the household; a desktop sized calendar posted with the family schedule; a shredder drawer; a drawer for my purse; hooks for the many, many sets of keys we all have and a few other suprises. I'll let you know if it helps or just makes for more places to keep the piles :)

I also suffer from MOD. My husband wishes I could keep everything contained to my own personal office, but I do keep my piles neat and tidy, ALL OVER THE HOUSE.

But I do not keep BB&B coupons - I keep Joann's coupons. Which get used more often than not, which contribute to the lack of space in the office, which spills over into the other areas. So really, my lack of organization is completely the fault of Joann's. I think I will go there today and let them know. And then look at the sale fabric.

I am IN LOVE with that corner desk unit. Is that custom built or modular from somewhere? I want one!

Oh- can I come work in your family room? Also, did you get your cordless phone at Costco? Because I think I have the same one.

I have MOD (multiple office disorder) as well. And I also have an illness about saving Bed Bath & Beyond coupons. I have a stack that's about as thick as War and Peace, that I can't bring myself to throw away.
