I decided to share my passion for Drugstore.com – one of the truly great online stores that can save you time and money. It has a very wide selection of products (even some food products like your typical drug store) but the best things are the following:
1. You don’t waste time standing in the aisles searching for that very specific item you need. Just use the online search function, and it’s in your shopping cart.
2. Products are rated, with customer reviews. If you’re thinking about trying a new product, it is very helpful to read about personal experiences.
3. Just buy $50 worth of products (which isn’t too hard) and shipping is free.
4. While I don’t have any regular prescriptions, you can get your prescriptions here as well (plus all your over-the-counter remedies). For those of you with Health Care Reserve accounts, it also provides a nice documentation of what you have purchased, so you can be reimbursed by your Health Care Reserve for many of these OTC products.
5. For personal products that you may be somewhat embarrassed to purchase….problem solved. Your husband no longer has to stand in line with the tampons in hand.
So start a list – toothpaste, shaving cream, dish detergent, soap,…and check out Drugstore.com. Remember, this should make your life easier and save you some valuable time!
Happy Shopping.

I’ve never tried Drugstore.com, but will after reading about your experience. Anything to save time is a winner for me. For some reason, I often forget which toiletries need replacing when I’m food shopping. Now I won’t have to wander the aisles at Wegman’s asking myself, “What was it we needed …?”

I have recently saved quite a lot of money and some time using amazon.com. They now sell groceries and offer free shipping. They also offer a free “subscribe & save” service which gives you an additional discount off their already discounted price and you can discontinue the service at any time with no penalties. This past March, I purchased one of their specially promoted items that I normally pay $3.29 a can for at the market: Muir Glen organic tomatoes (28oz.). I bought 24 cans (yes, I’m Italian!) @ $1.71/can with free shipping. I happen to also have an Amazon Visa card so any time I use it, I am getting points that go towards amazon gift cards that can be used for anything they sell. I was able to get a bottle of Cosamin DS for .99 cents! (Hey! don’t laugh!) I do spend time shopping online for the best deals and amazon consistently offers them on a wide array of products.

In all the times I’ve visited Amazon.com I’ve never, ever seen that they sell grocery items. In fact, I just went to the site thinking the grocery option must be hidden away so that the average Amazon book-shopper could not see it. Nope. It’s right there in the left column. I’m going back now to check it out. Thanks for opening my eyes, Stacy.

I had no idea Amazon sold groceries either. I’m definitely going to check it out. Thanks for the heads-up Stacy!
